
IET Deccan Chronicle Panel Discussion: Is Scientific India Competent on a Global Platform?
On the occasion on National Science Day (February 28), IET India and Deccan Chronicle jointly organised a Panel Discussion, “Is Scientific India Competent on a Global Platform”. The event was held in Bangalore.
The panelists discussed and deliberated on solutions that have the potential to encourage the growth of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects in the country and ways to encourage students to be ‘science-friendly’ at an early age.
The panelists were:
- Dr Gopichand Katragadda, Managing Director, GE India Technology Center
- Mr Vijay Anand ,Vice President, India Development Center – Intuit India
- Dr V Shubha, Head of the materials science division at NAL
- Mr Anup Vittal, MD, Safran Engineering Services
- Mr Shekhar Sanyal, Director and Country Head, IET India
