Agreement to pave the way for joint activities, knowledge dissemination and efforts to improve engineering education in India

The agreement is designed to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of technical information between the two organizations and will cover three primary areas of co-operation: joint events and activities; joint dissemination of knowledge, and joint efforts to improve the state of engineering education in India.

The MoU will make it easier for the two organisations to work together to plan technical lectures and talks as well as to jointly develop programs, activities and materials aimed at enhancing the quality of engineering education in India. This will include forums, conferences, publications, standards, educational materials and awards.

Shekhar Sanyal, Director and Country Head, the IET India, said: “We believe this agreement will promote co-operation and understanding between our two organisations and will go a long way in furthering technology awareness among the general public and students of engineering.. With its tremendous potential to impact the engineering and technology scene in India, the agreement demonstrates the IET’s commitment to this aspect of the country’s economy”.

Commenting on this momentous occasion, Mr. Sunil Misra, Director General, IEEMA said, “IEEMA has been actively engaged in the Knowledge enrichment and skill up gradation of its stakeholder community, like the Govt.
